Grace Lugo serves as a Leadership Consultant for the Coastal Regional Assistance Team in the Massachusetts DESE Statewide System of Support, an ongoing contract managed by SchoolWorks. In this capacity, she collaborates with districts to facilitate systemic improvements aimed at enhancing student achievement and educational equity.
Before her current role, Grace began her career in education as a New Jersey TFA Corp member in Passaic Public Schools. She later transitioned to become an Elementary and Middle School Science Instructional Coach in New Brunswick Public Schools, NJ. Here, she implemented reflective coaching practices to support teachers in adopting NGSS-aligned instructional materials and culturally responsive teaching strategies. Grace also coordinated district-wide three-dimensional assessment initiatives and developed Problem-Based Learning curricula for summer enrichment programs.
Grace holds a B.S. in Biology and Secondary Education from The College of New Jersey and is currently pursuing a M.Ed in Educational Leadership.
