SchoolWorks® Learning Walk Training equips educators and school leaders with the skills to observe, analyze, and improve classroom instruction through a structured, collaborative process. Learning walks provide a clear framework for collecting evidence on teaching and learning, identifying trends, and supporting professional growth across the school.
At the school level, SchoolWorks provides hands-on training through Co-Facilitated Learning Walks designed to build practical skill and confidence. Each half-day session begins with a welcome and norming experience to align participants on the observation tool and expectations, followed by structured classroom observations focused on collecting evidence of teaching and learning. Participants then engage in a guided debrief and data analysis process to identify trends and insights, culminating in action planning that translates observations into next steps for instructional improvement. This immersive, job-embedded approach ensures that participants can confidently lead learning walks and facilitate meaningful, data-driven conversations within their own schools.
At the district or network level, SchoolWorks provides a Train-the-Trainer Experience. This cohort-based model trains participants to lead learning walks independently, norm their own teams, and analyze instructional data consistently.
